- The great commandment of love
- 10 commandments of God
- 9 commandments of the Church
Sacraments
“A sacrament is a holy action, the visible sign through which God’s invisible Grace is communicated to the believer.” There are 7 sacraments: Baptism, Chrismation, Confession, Communion, Ordination, Marriage, and Holy Unction. We receive Holy Communion during the Divine Liturgy.
To have children understand how the Ten Commandments affect their life.
To have children understand the meaning of Jesus’ guidelines to achieve happiness and be truly blessed.
To have the children become familiar with the Seven Christian Virtues and understand that if we do not follow them, we will be committing the sin listed next to each one.
To have children understand what happens during Holy Communion.
To have children become familiar with the service of the Holy Baptism.
To have children become familiar with the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony and the different parts of the service.
